The Vapor Caves are a Texas-bred modern funk outfit led by vocalist Yadira Brown, with BoomBaptist handling production. A “vapor cave” is a rarity in nature, found underground, billowing mineral-rich steam known for its magical healing properties. The duo proudly pays homage to this natural phenomenon, synthesizing medicine for those who enter.

Their debut release, Feel Yourself, became a cult classic in the modern funk genre, selling out their record and landing Spotify's editorial playlist Ready for the Day with their single Hurry Up and Wait. Their debut record was followed by a North American tour, supporting funk legend, DāM-FunK, & a number of placements on Comedy Central, among other television shows.
Since then, they have shared stages with such acts as CAPYAC, XL Middleton & Moniquea, & Mofak. The Vapor Caves have drawn comparisons to other R&B, Nu-Disco acts such as Reva DeVito, Saucy Lady, Dabeull, & Lynda Dawn.

The Vapor Caves recently released collaborations with guitar goddess Jackie Venson called Dreams and soul group The Suffers (Be You). Most recently, on a collaboration with Spoon's drummer, Jim Eno, Sacrifice finds The Vapor Caves venturing into the house genre and beyond. They are busy working on some very special "Tugboat Edits" for the great Star Creature record label out of Chicago, and the follow-up LP to "Feel Yourself".
